The
website visit-mekong.com is the official website for travel
in the Greater Mekong Subregion, produced by ETC Asia on
behalf of the Tourism Working Group of the GMS Economic
Cooperation Programme.
The
website, and its associated sites, are produced under Public
Private Sector Participation (PPP) - the sites are produced
at no cost but the private sector, ie ETC has the right
to gain revenues from sponsorship of the site.
Currently,
we are adding hotel suppliers to the website as well as
tours, some of the tours allow the end user to communicate
directly with the tour operator, some enquiries are passed
via ETC. The mid term plan is to have more tours on the
website and allow end users to deal directly with the operator.
Tours
and hotels on the website are therefore not endorsed by
the working group or any other stakeholder.
